A Word from Pastor Mitch
It is rare that we are given the opportunity to make a real difference in the world around us, but we have such an opportunity in this exciting campaign. As our church continues to grow, so does our community, and we are working to prepare for this growth with the Imagine the Next 20 initiative. Our goal is to reduce our debt, positioning us to deepen our ministry and impact lives for years to come.
Many people before us sacrificed and worked tirelessly to make our current facilities possible. Now, it is our turn to be faithful stewards and ensure that we leave a lasting legacy for future generations. We are thrilled to be part of this great effort, and we invite you to join us in this important mission.
So, what can we do as the next generation of leaders and spiritual entrepreneurs at DSPC? We can wholeheartedly seek God and ask Him,
“God, what do You want to do through me?”
The God who created us, the God who loves us, and the God who frees us is able to do “far more abundantly than all that we ask or imagine” (Ephesians 3:20). Through prayer and faith, God can accomplish even more than we could ever imagine.
We are excited about the future and what lies ahead, and we ask you to join us in fully committing to this campaign. Together, we can ensure that our church thrives and continues to serve the next generation.
Thank you for your support, your prayers, and your commitment. Together, we will succeed!
In Christ,
Pastor Mitch

Imagine our next 20
In imagining our next 20, we are excited to see how the Holy Spirit will lead us. We imagine the continued growth we are currently seeing (15-20% annually), thriving children and youth ministries, additional adult programs (like our new men’s groups), deeper congregational care, stronger connections through events and small groups, and increased mission and community outreach. Our dream — a place where everyone feels welcomed and connected.
Right now, we spend almost 30% of our cash outlay, or just under $200,000 a year servicing our $1.8M debt. Over $100,000 of this goes to interest alone. Since acquiring our land in 2011, we have built our sanctuary in two phases (2015 and 2019) to accommodate our growing family. We currently owe $1,316,000 on our first mortgage and $487,000 on the second, totaling around $1,800,000.
Our original plan was to reduce this debt by 2025 significantly. Unfortunately, the pandemic impacted our ability to reduce that debt as well as ensure we had enough income to support our ongoing church operations. In July 2024, we addressed the deficit in regular operational giving, and all of you showed up in a big way. Because of that, we can turn our attention to retiring this debt.
We hope to conquer this financial mountain in 2025. Freeing ourselves from this debt will allow us to focus on ministry, not mortgages, for future generations.
And the great news:
One Family has already given $500,000 towards this goal!
Can the rest of us pull together to raise $1.3M over the next three years? With God’s grace, we can!

The Impact to our Ministries

Imagine the ministry we could unleash if we were free from this burden! Repurposing mortgage funds into ministry would allow us to:
➤ Invest in our children and youth by enhancing and adding programs, activities, staffing, community impact, and outreach to equip the next generation and nurture them even more in their walk with Christ.
➤ Deepen discipleship by creating more adult ministries and connection opportunities.
➤ Expand our mission programs by amplifying our existing mission DNA with more local initiatives and volunteer opportunities.
➤ Launch outreach initiatives by becoming a community hub for the residents of Dripping Springs by creating community-wide events and programming that draw people into community with each other and deliver God’s word and grace.
