DSPC Foundations Meeting on Sunday mornings from September 8 - December 8, 2019 at 9am am in Room 2, we will gather together for a 14-week deep-dive into the Christian faith.
In this course, we will experience God's big story as it is presented to us through the major themes of the Old and New Testament. We will also explore how we live into that story and live out our faith as partners in this community of faith and as part of the larger Presbyterian tradition. Enneagram Coffee Talk Hey ladies! Come join us every other Monday morning at 9am for a book study on personality and faith. Based on the book “Self to Lose, Self to Find: A Biblical Approach to the 9 Enneagram Types” by Marilyn Vancil. Bonus? Women’s Open Hearts Discussion Group - A book club for every woman who desires a fun and interesting way to explore faith with study and discussion. As a group, we choose faith-based books to read and discuss. The book picked for September 10th is “Shades of Light” by Sharon Garbaugh Brown, the terrific author of the Sensible Shoes books. Unfortunately, the book isn't available until August 20th. If you have time, please read through Chapter One before our first meeting. We hope you'll join us on the 10th or another Tuesday! Wednesday Women’s Bible Study - You’re invited to a class for all levels of faith journey, from beginners attending their first Bible Study to seasoned veterans. No homework; no intimidation; no pressure. We have fun together learning and reading books of the Bible as well as faith-based studies. Ladies of all ages are invited to join us this fall as we study “31 Proverbs to Light Your Path” by Liz Curtis Higgs. Class will be led by DSPC-member Luann Sandahl. Men’s Study Group - Want to be a part of a men’s roundtable gathering on Friday mornings? Through our reading and discussion, we attempt to discern how to live more like Christ and grow in our relationship with God. Generally, we alternate between a book of the Bible and a book outside the Bible that is of a spiritual nature. Anyone interested in pursuing these is welcome, regardless of where you may be regarding your Biblical knowledge and relationship with God.
