What to Expect
We're a pretty relaxed and friendly crowd. Expect messages that are relatable and relevant. Centered around themes that are applicable to daily living, Pastor Nancy and Pastor Mitch unpack biblical teachings and offer a message of hope each week.
Our children and youth have an active part in Sunday services as well as missions and small groups. Every Sunday, our children carry our worship elements to the front of the congregation. Afterwards, they hear a short children's message with the whole congregation. Then the children are dismissed to their classrooms (Birth - 6th Grade).
Starting in the fifth grade and moving through high school, some of our youth have started non-profits to feed local families, distribute care packs to the homeless, and take mission trips to drill water wells in Africa.
Our worship band enhances your experience with spirit-filled, heartfelt songs of joy. Whether it's a standard hymn, a contemporary song, an original tune or a new twist on an old favorite, expect to engage with our worship team to lift praise to God.
Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday with children participating once a month. The table is open to everyone—you need not be a member, nor a member of any church for that matter, to partake. God is bigger than that. You need only to trust Jesus even a little, with a desire to learn to trust Him more.
Children's programming is offered for PreK - 6th grade at all services on Sunday mornings. Nursery care is available for infants and young toddlers. Elementary students go to our Clubhouse, and a Tweens class is geared just for our 5th and 6th grade crew.
Students have a lot of influences competing for their attention. And tremendous changes occur as our youth move toward adulthood. At DSPC we strive to create an environment that fosters acceptance and belonging, so that every student knows they have a safe place to ask questions and take ownership of their faith.
From numerous small groups and social gatherings to ways in which to serve the Church and our community, DSPC has lots of ways to connect and create lasting friendships.
